"Cheese eaters"?
Today's moment of Zen: 11 minutes into the pilot of Twin Peaks. Who knew that Norwegians were being called "cheese eaters"? (Somebody says that he'll show those cheese eaters, and then goeas and hold a meeting for people who wish to buy land in Twin Peaks, and as he speaks a man sitting beside him translates everything into the most faggy dialect of Norwegian imaginable. )

Have you seen any Rubenmann? Imagine a mix between Rubenmann and vestkant-Oslo.

Rubenmann, Bodø's great pride? ;D I've seen a little on YouTube. Hmm, sounds like an interesting dialect, I must say.

But, er, isn't it just nordlandsdialekt? Sounds like Lofoten-dialekt to me, actually.
It really annoyed me that they link Norwegians to "smorgasbords", though. That's so Swedish! Norwegians would want, Iunno, brown cheese, lutefisk and meatballs with brown sauce. Aye.

Twin peaks ♥.

Hmm... He does say "ska bli", but he also says "det er det", not "det e det". He also says "luften", not "lufta", but that COULD just be the city-pancy-genes kicking in... Strange dialect anyways, haven't heard anything exactly like that from Lofotværinga, or from any other places, but then again, I suck in locating dialects.

And yeah, a lutefiskreferanse would've made the whole thing so much better.
